One more and the first post makes me feel much better about my purchase. I recently bought a 92 100CS Quattro with 196k on the clock for a "steal". She runs well after spending a few weeks at the shop and is livable after a thorough cleaning. I'm now in the process of working my way through maintenance and broken bits such as: spark plugs, injector cleaning, tb & egr cleaning, vacuum hose replacement, burnt out bulbs, blower motor woes...etc. Even with all the neglect, I still feel like this old beast will get me through winter w/o issue!

Default I just sold my 1992 100CS

I sold my 1992 Audi 100CS in running condition for $700.00 It needed front struts and an ignition switch. Everything worked, including the air condition. I was the second owner (owned it for 12 years) and it had 185k when I sold it. After the guy drove off with the car, i instantly regretted selling it. I fear that I sold it to a person who didnt appreciate the car as he was had to test drive it for 2 hours before buting a car with no body damage/no rust/fully loaded Audi for $700.00 I almost felt like I should have put an ad on Audiworld because the car would have been appreciated more. So long story short, a former 100CS owner who wishes he was still the owner of one.

well I have an Audi 100 CS Q, tons of mods, tons of money too
but overall it is a great car. and so far I have learned its a durable engine. If anybody plans to put a turbo in theirs dont make it more than 4 psi aparently they don't like it( blown rings ect..ect..)

I have found out the secret is to keep updating the car and replacing high mileage parts.

next task is to replace control arms since they cost just as much as the bushings and ball joints.

oh and REMEMBER to replace the Coolant reservoir. mine got a hairline crash and it turns into a huge mess. just replace it don't do what I did and try and save it. I must have used 5 diff epoxies and a plastic welder untill I forked up 50 dollars...

Hello all I own a 94 100s with just under 250,000 miles on it.

I got it around 3.5 years ago with 219,000 on it when I got it it had no rust and was in great condition. It is my first car and it has some cosmetic damage.... a week after i got my license I was driving in a parking lot and some guy in an S10 pickup with his tailgate down backed up right as i was going past caught me in my right rear wheel well... about a year later driving in my highschool parking lot and some idiot in his lifted rubicon with truck armor failed at driving and made my right front fender a crater... and a little more then a year ago driving on a rural road a guy mowing his lawn spit stones into my right side doors putting 3 good dents... less then a month ago I hit a deer which pushed my ac condenser and radiator back in my frame and was a 900 dollar fix. ive had close to $3000 spent on the car replacing the old and worn out parts and i have plenty more to replace but I love the car and with some work ive done cleaning out parts and replacing vacuum lines, I plan to keep this car running long after most would have trashed it and got a new one! Also engine and trany are original and of late I have a job delivering pizzas so this car is driven a lot, putting on about 2300 miles a month. Still runs great. Interior is falling apart but most of the gadgets are still functioning. Great car not the fastest but has potential just nobody wants to mess around with the 12 valve 2.8L V6. But Im keeping it. So Heres to all 100 owners.

I am the second owner of a pearl white 92 100CSQ since 1995. 177K. Usual failures I have not repaired: door amp, temp light, infra red lock. The rack is leaking. The engine and tranny are good. I would fix it up, but I would like to find a newer one with a passenger air bag.

My father's 1990 A100 is my daily driver. It was parked with around 73k miles when he passed away, I've put 20k on it over the past two years or so. Keeps on keeping on, timeless styling, rides and drives better than many of the "new" cars that are being sold out there. I plan to keep driving it. I'm sort of glad that it's a 100 instead of a 200 or A8 as it cuts down on the amount of gadetry that can break.
