Gamma radio power (on/off)
I have a recurring problem. Mt 3rd Audi Gamma head unit has now failed in the same way. The on/off/volume fails in such a way that the on/off becomes intermittent.
I cant prove this, but it *seems* that the switch actually activates a voltage that is sensed, which in turn powers up various circuits - maybe including other components.
Does anyone know the exact failure mode and the fix? I opened one once, and after playing the chinese puzzle game, could not find anything serviceable.
Thanks,
Grant

i was wondering the same thing. My ideas are:
1. when unit turns on, it sends turn on signal to antenna and amp and THIS is flaky. Unfortunately, i dont have a schematic or ??????
2. There is a relay with a turn on delay ( often used to eliminate instability thumps) and the relay is sticky.
Anyway - anybody?
Thanks for your data point. Post if you get any more insight.
