So what's wrong with this picture? Chinese Febi Bilstein?

VW/Audi Motor Mount: I like how someone literally tried to cover up the fact this is Chinese-made
Look what popped up when I peeled off the stock sticker:

I know....resurecting an old and probably forgotten thread...
but I was looking for information on control arms and stumbled upon it via search engine.
Quick example: last summer I replaced the heater core and iniatially I ordered Febi Bilstein from a local Carquest-supplied franchise. Quality, right? Wrong... the new heater core had the coolant outlets longer (yet with a smaller diameter) than the OE, although had the right Audi part number. It was no way I could fit it inside the HVAC box. I returned it and ended up purchasing a Meyle that was perfect, spot on, and came with the surrounding insulation foam, which the Febi-made one lacked.
------
Anyway... I'm not a great, seasoned wrenching guy, but from what i perceive the control arms themselves don't really go bad - except of course the ugliness of the rusted appearance. In that regard, if the ball joints are good, is it too far of a stretch to replace just the bushings and the sway bar bushings? I can find them all available for purchase
As far as I understand, just the outer bushings need to be pressed in, while the two inner ones that sway bar passes through are not. Is this something doable provided I can find a press?
Car under scrutiny: 95 A6 non-quattro
(so it only has the lower control arms)
Thanks much for any thoughts, rants, raves, ideas.

Audi changed parts on the heater core, so the good quality OEM versions require collars to install on some cars. The cheap plastic junk reproductions will fit right in, however they're known to fail after a year or two (the heat makes the plastic get brittle and crack)

Hello everybody...
OK Firstly thanks for letting me join AW.
I found this thread after some serious googling re coolant sensors, namely fb coolant sensors.
I have a green one that, like the items detailed on this thread, comes in a nice wee box with a made in Germany sticker.
Now I know that it's probably the easiest item to change on the longitudinal engine, ok, but the green one I purchased does not have the stamping around the wider brass part that the old black one does so I'm a bit peeved that despite it's ease of fitment it might not be all that it says on the tin and I want to put in a genuine part if I can.
Thanks for this thread highlighting the dangers of cloning and good luck to us all in the future!
all the best

Most sensors are either Bosch, with coolant Behr. Wahler makes some sensors as well and the thermostat.
Sometimes more when one brand is listed as OEM so it can be hard to keep track.
I will say I ordered a coolant sensor [3 pin Behr] in which Germany was stamped into the brass, well it's no longer there.
In fact the box has nothing about where it's made which is an odd omission.
Hell, it could be a fake for all I know.

I Just now received a Febi Bilstein Signal Stalk for my Audi A6 from ECSTuning. I'm dismayed by the fact that the Stalk is Made in China. Would have been helpful if ECSTuning had clearly labeled where the products are Made In, as they are clearly labeled on the box.
