I have a '93 100 S.

I am unable to open the trunk by pushing in the trunk lock.

It appears that there is a cam on the lock, shown below



...that if moved, would unlock the trunk.

When I press the button, shown below



The cam is bypassed, and the trunk does not open.

Any help? Has a part of the lock broken off, unknown to me?

The lock works OK if I push the button in the glovebox.

Can you show me the broken piece? I may have a small parts on lock mechanism. I think same as '90 90. x19

Your pictures are long gone, but you realize that you have to manually unlock the trunk button (with your key) to open the trunk right? I believe the key slot has to be horizontal. The key does not have to be in the slot, but the slot has to be turned a certain way.
