Default What is this?? 1992 audi 100 cs quattro

if i cover it with my finger the motor stalls. 1992 audi 100 cs quattro 2.8l. crankshaft breather hose

then why does it stall when pluged? is it a port for a air meter or something?

The line is part of the brake servo vacuum circuit. At least one section of it is made out of hard plastic, which I broke when I took off the intake manifold to replace the gaskets on the top end and the oil pressure valves. I had to patch it up, because you cannot find a replacement. In the next few weeks, I will replace the valve cover gaskets, and then I will do the experiment you did and see whether my '92 stalls as well.

The problem I'm having is the motor sounds starved at idle. Give it a little gas she sounds great but chugs and supters at idle. I was thinking the idle air, but if I unplug and start, the idle rises bit still chugging and returns when plugged in. If I unplug while running Nothing seems to happen.

Could be some adaptive memory in your ECU..you been running with an air leak.

Cap the leak. Disconnect the battery. Go have a beer. Reconnect the battery and reset you clock and radio.

Go drive the car for a while. See what happens.

plugged hole, disconnected battery, rest clock and radio. running much much better

Its actually came back a little bit, im thinking 02 sensor, also lots of white smoke on throttle.
