Default Hans Auto Parts, Cheap oem VW/Audi parts

I get my parts from here:http://www.hansautoparts.com/index.aspx if they have them. Their inventory contains some of those over priced, hard to get parts for a steal. I haven't found any other site/place that beats them yet. Here is a copy of one of my orders:

Hmm... It worries me that they don't list brand names though. I certainly wouldn't put a no-name or URO part on my car if it involved anything related to safety or completely ruining the car if it fails. I'm not a brand snob at all, but on the other hand I've seen way too many threads where someone's car was totaled because a Chinese part failed after only a week or two. You especially see this with driveshaft flex discs, bearings, and water pumps.

Any brand names from the parts you've ordered?

Yeah, most of the parts where from Ossca, one from vika. The parts look very well made and all is well so far. I think i read they offer a 2 year warranty on their parts

Oooh, I remember that guy now.

I don't have a problem using GOOD quality Chinese parts for at least non-vital areas. The problem is when a middleman is involved and wants them made more cheaply so he can make a lot of money...

For anyone wanting to use Hansautoparts.com to buy inexpensive audi/vw parts, take heed. I ordered a timing belt kit as part of an engine swap I was doing. I had already spent well over $1500 in replacement parts as part of the overhaul and was trying to keep the budget under control. A complete timing belt kit for about $110 seemed like a good deal so I clicked on the purchase button. After receiving said kit, the first thing I noticed was a lack of identifying marks on any of the parts except for the belt. I went ahead and installed the components. After several weeks of carefully rebuilding my A4 B5 1.8T AEB Quattro 5sp it was finally road worthy. Approximately 2,000 happy miles went by until I started hearing this terrible screeching noise that seemed to be coming from the timing belt area. Upon removing the upper TB cover and starting the engine to see WTF was going on, I could see the tensioner roller bearing wobbling and coming apart. I immediately shut the engine down and started the timing belt procedure all over again this time spending what is really required to get the proper components. I'm lucky the part made noise that prompted an inspection. Otherwise, it could have been an extremely bad outcome. Now, don't get me completely wrong, I'm sure these guys have good deals on other parts. But just be aware that this supplier uses several sources and quality may not be what you're used to.
