How to identify 85 CGT engine
I have an 85 Coupe GT and I can't figure out what engine is in it.
I've narrowed it down to HY/JT/KV/KX.
Any help would be appreciated.

There's a flat spot right under the spark plugs that has the engine code on it. You may need to scrape off some grease or rust to see it. It's probably a KX though. The JT was only in the 4000 and I believe the others were in foreign (to us) markets.
