To get to the tranny codes, you need to keep to continue touching jumper for 4 seconds till you get blink every 2.5 seconds(might be what you are seeing). then when u touch jumper again, it's supposed to blink to you thru the lever selector display. If by fuel fuse you mean the empty slot in fuel relay, I've no experience doing it that way, but believe that is for output test. V8 book doesn't say it, but 4444 when checking Motronic and engine is running means no codes.

Fuse in relay is for testing...not supposed to be there. If no limp mode(prnd123 not lit), I'd look for a dragging brake. If you haven't verified fluid level in tranny, you can drain pan and refill with 4 quarts ATF(system holds 10) if you don't have the tranny dipstick that didn't come with the car when new. Be happy limp mode is gone...Ha. Good luck, Tom

I recently had to free up a frozen steering cable on a boat. I found a piece of clear hose that slipped over end of cable. Put a hose clamp on it and filled the hose with 50/50 mix of Acetone and ATF. Stuck an airhose in other end of hose and hose clamped that tight. Set compressor to really low and since this was really corroded solid, took overnight before any of the fluid started moving. My Lago car's cable sticks also, but free's itself up within a few blocks of driving(at least for now)....Good luck, Tom
