Pumping 20 times when the car is off seems a bit too much, on mine, after the 3rd pump there's not much left, pedal's hard as a brick. If you are not losing fluids, if the brakes are operating normally, I guess the system somehow doesn't recognize something. I do not know if there's an error code for this....

Correct: Three pumps to a stiff pedal after shutting off the engine is indicative of a failing hydraulic pressure accumulator. A good "bomb" should give you at least 15 pumps. The idea is to maintain power braking capability in the case of engine failure at speed.
