Default crank lock tool

Hi everyone, I am going to try and bust out the timing belt on my 87 5ktq avant this weekend and was wondering if anyone had the crank lock tool (2084) I could borrow. I would throw a deposit down if need be as well. Let me know if you can help! I can't believe they charge 180 bucks for 2079 and 2084!

I am lucky enough to work with CNC machines and had the same issue as you. I have one available if you are still interested.

I realize not everyone may have one but once the bumper is off I've used my 18 volt impact gun to loosen that bolt and also to tighten it, no problem.

And what torque is that giving you? I would hazard a guess that it was not up to correct torque to start with, and you are simply feeling comfortable that you have tightened it using the same tool you used to undo it. The torque setting on this bolt is high. The torque settings should be followed.

I have 10hp compressor and rand impact. I'd snap the crankbolt tightening it up like that lol. (ok...so that's bs). But anyway...use a big tq wrench. period.

PM me. Are you nearby? I'd prefer to lend them to someone I can hand them to. Otherwise it involves shipping, a deposit etc.
