HELP BATTERY DRAW 1991 Audi V8 Quattro 5 speed Seattle,WA
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and have very little luck with the page loading for some reason.
I recently purchased a 91 Audi V8 Quattro, and have for a couple months now been trying to locate a draw on the battery. I exhausted my own options (test light on battery, pulling fuses and searching for bad grounds) before passing it onto a general mechanic (not an audi specialist) while he found nothing either but replacing a the starter which was bad.
Wondering if there may be a "go to" person in the Seattle,Wa area for Audi electrical problems, or if this may even be a simple yet overlooked problem. I look forward to getting the car running correctly and reliably as it is a gem and a blast to drive.
I rarely access the computer but would appreciate ANY help regarding the issue to my email.. truhoang@hotmail.com or even my cell 206-816-0508
Thanks!

Check your alternator, it could be (dead diode) and is drawing the current.
see link Can bad diodes in the alternator cause the battery to go dead when the car is off

About two years ago I had a similar issue. Everytime I took it back to the store, they would recharge it and assure me that it holds power as it should. Since I knew of no problems with my car, I asked them to replace the battery, they kept insisting the battery is fine, well eventually they did give me a new one and I had no more problems. Now, if you want to take it to a mechanic, I am taking my Audi to European Car Authority in Redmond, I've been very happy with them
