new owner of an 89 100 with issues
I just recently bought an '89 100 that has sat for close to three years, and while I'm getting it to come back to life its fighting tooth and nail. the main problem is The car spent a good chunk of its life in Boston and while it was kept clean and has no body rust the engine wasn't as lucky and my injector lines are rusting away and leaking. i've spent the last month just trying to figure out a way to remake or find new ones but haven't had much luck.
found out after my first real drive today it has no heat. no cruise control. no heated seat on the drivers side, wont come up to temp, the headlight adjusters are busted, and when it gets warm the transmission decides it only has 2 gears,
I know its a big blurb of issues and I will definitely be searching the forum and posting and fixing accordingly really right now i just need help finding a way to keep gas from spraying all over everything

hey there! Im in the same boat!. for the transmission, im guessing its the three speed auto? if its acting up when warm i would suspect the fluid needs to be replaced. hopefully thats all it needs. As for the electrical stuff, do the basics and check all your relays and fuses to make sure nothing is bad there. Then, proceed to check your electrical grounds. See if you can get your hands on a good wiring diagram for all the electrical wires. It can get a little scary under the dashboard, but its all manageable. Good luck!

im pretty sure about it being the trans fluid. the fluid in there resembles dex-cool more than it does hydraulic oil. i think most of my problems are gonna end up being vacuum hoses on the heater and cruise control. right now though the cars sidelined till a source for injection lines presents itself. might see if i can get them rebuilt reasonably.
