This will probably be one of my dumbest questions yet, but I haven't found a solid answer so far. My 200TQ Avant has a broken rear bumper support on the driver's side that will not pass inspection, and I figured I might as well replace the bumper since it will be harder to find only the support. I imagine the bumper is the same for sedans and avants, but can I pull one off of earlier T44s than the '91? Thanks in advance.

Yes the sedan rear bumper is the same and yes earlier rear bumpers are the same too.

You'll probably find that corrosion has eaten away the aluminum of the bumper itself where it contacts the steel bracket:

I used some large washers to cover the holes.

That would be great if it were repairable rather than replaceable, I'll take a look at it. Thanks to both for the help.
