Thanks guys. Its been a pretty fun project so far. I really do miss the 5000 and that big turbo. But it was time for new ground. We'll see how it goes. I can already tell you that as soon as I find a decent 4.2 its going in place of this 3.6. Luckily everything will swap over. But thats further down the road.....
I originally picked up the v8 as a parts car for the 5000. The 5000 was going to have the TTV8. I eventually came to my senses and decided to use the V8 instead as it has the body lines Ive always liked and it is already a v8 car.
Ive been gathering parts for this project for about a year and a half. I got busy with work and other things so the car got parked for while. I really only just started working on it a month ago. So all the work that has been done has been in the last month. Calculating what Ive spent on this project and what I need to finish it, The total bill is going to be roughly $4500. Well plus the price of the car which was $700. I sold most of my 10V goodies and spare 5000 parts which helped a lot in justifying the funding for this project. I still have my NF polished cylinder head on Audifans that I'm waiting to be sold. That should take care of the rest of the things needed to get this done.

Its been a semi productive sunday....considering my gf and I spent half the day playing co op on Resident Evil 5
I got the new bracket made for the passenger side wastegate. it moves it farther out and away from the frame rail. I had to lengthen the threaded rod for the clevis to reach the actuator. No big deal.
Right now I'm working on how the main charge pipe will attach to the Intake manifold. I'm pretty sure I've got it figured out. We shall see.
I'm on the hunt for my coils now. I'll be using the newer style 1.8T coils from around 02 and up. I'm a little worried about how much plastic I had to remove to get them to go deep enough to reach the spark plugs (have one for testing purposes.) Ill go new if I cant find a good deal on some used ones. I also need two 1.8T coil harnesses or I will need to make my own.
Anyone have either of these they want to get rid of?
