Default 1989 Audi 90

I have a 1989 Audi 90. I want to replace the interior dash because it is all leather and the car was sitting in sun which caused it to crack open . Can I replace it with a 1995 Audi 90 dash? Is that possible switch out and be compatible?

I think the part number is 8A1857039G for a 1989 Audi 90 ..the answer is maybe. According to Audi the B3 is different from the B4,,I don't think the 95 dash will work..but don't know for sure.

There is a dash with that part number on the bay in Germany for 69 euros. They say it is for a B4..but the part number is for B3..may have something to do with airbags here in the USA.

the 95 dash is a dual airbag model, and some of the supports wont be in your b3 model. also it wouldn't properly align with your door cards (not sure if that is a concern for you)

I've learned the hard way that all sorts of parts on a I5 B3 look like they are matches on a V6 B3 and are actually not perfect matches. But sometimes close can be OK -- depends.

Default HELP

Is a 1993 Audi 90S comparable to 1989 Audi 90 interior parts. I would like to swap the interior dash and middile console and place into the 1989 audi 90?

Maybe -- a 93 and newer is the slightly updated styling that came with the V6. A perfect match would be 88-91 with the inline 5.

FYI - your search is a little easier than trying to find a "leather dash" as that dash is vinyl. It also means you might reconsider replacing it (crazy expensive and likely to leave years of electrical issues in its wake) and simply find a good restoration company in your area and have it either recovered with stock looking vinyl, or have the cracks repaired.

The dash in my 2nd CQ was blue and cracked. The PO dyed it black after fixing a crack, repair looks pretty good. He just used stuff from a parts store.
