1993 90 S, leaking from vacuum pump?
Hey guys. I've got a 93 Audi 90s. Lately I've been having troubles with over heating, specifically my radiator fans aren't turning on and I'm still trying to find the root of that issue. While that was annoying it hasn't been a real problem.
But today while driving the car over heated very quickly and when I pulled over to check I found smoke coming from the rear of the passenger side of the engine. When I was able to investigate I found there's a port there that is leaking oil and it had pumped out quite a bit onto all the parts beneath and behind it...
What I've found, is that it's the space where a vacuum pump should be? But I also read on a schematic I found online, that vacuum pump was omitted on models after 92...
So did I lose a vacuum pump? Or? Passenger side, upper rear engine.
Above is said leaker.

You lost a 078 103 113 E camshaft plug..I am sure.
Your car had a more elaborate fitting with a cross bar and small bolts..later engines just used the plug.
Be sure your breather hoses are not plugged up..and the valve cover screens inside are not sludged up too..that would perhaps blow the cam plug out.
