I replaced upper strut mounts on my '93 90 4 door sedan about 20K miles ago and find they are worn out again (used OE parts). Any suggestions on a strut mount brand that will be longer lasting? The car just turned 106K miles and has been well-maintained it's entire life.

I have had good luck with the 034 street density strut mounts on my B4 Cabriolet..$25 each. The bearings in the mounts could use some additional grease prior to installing..I use some spray moly grease. https://store.034motorsport.com/stru...ct_tabs_review

2nd on the 034 mounts. or plenty of solid mounts for b3/b4 from Europe, but you are looking at aroun $200 +/- a set

Although I am not likely to use any Meyle branded parts due to quality issues..one of the exceptions would be the 8A0412323D strut mounts labeled as HD. About $14 each..same solid "no gap" construction as the 034 mounts..and an INA bearing.

If the 034 strut mounts fail me..I have a pair of these on the shelve to install. The German Cabriolet forum members seem to like them. Use the 034's first though.
