A/C recharge for 1995 90 Quattro [adapter?]
I'm trying to recharge my A/C i have a can of Sub-zero brand R134A , the low side port on the compressor is threaded rather than a cup-link adapter so the hose that came with the can does not fit the low side port. I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get an adapter to fit the low side. I unfortunately don't have tools to check the thread so that's why i posted here. Has anyone had success doing it themselves? Compressor kicks when A/C is turned on by the way, im 99.9 percent certain it just needs a re-charge and is not leaking.

The system is supposed to be re-charged from the high side. And the system is to filled by 134a volume not by pressure. That takes a professional to do with a machine. It is the best way to go.
Do a key word search on this forum..some claim to have luck with an adapter on the compressor..I think they used YELLOW JACKET R134a Adapter 1/2 FM ACME HEX x 13mm 134a..but not sure...check around.
I would suggest a pro do this for though.

Would this work you think? I just bought ANOTHER adapter off RockAuto, rockauto claimed it would fit but it was a 1/4 4 seasons 59976 adapter. another 10 bucks gone.
