Default Cabrio-confusion

So I have had my 98 cabrio for about a month now, and I have to say I love this thing! I paid 600 bucks for it, and it drives like a dream! That being said there are a number of little issues that come with a 600 dollar car....I bought this car to work on in my time and for fun, not for profit, so I realize that some of these items will hit my wallet and I am ok with that, the look is timeless and even though it was cheap, I still get compliments! Ok on to my list...
-Power locks, dont seem to work at all, I dont here any vacuum noise from the central pump....but I cant find the central pump! If any one can point me the right direction on these cars I would be so greatful!
-ignition, key does not stop turning started once engine kicks on, replace cylinder?
-radio harness, ground looks fried, I am going to try to attach my radio...today but I don't have high hopes :/ , any other VAG cars that have an interchangeable harness?
-convertible top, mine is thrashed, having a hard time finding a replacement, anyone know a good source?

That is it for now, I will be posting pics and using this thread as I come across more items...also if anyone knows of a good online source to repair these cars let me know! I am having a really hard time finding good diy documentation for the cabrio in particularly.

You need a new ignition switch..probably not the locking section, just the spring loaded electrical part..they break from time to time. The latest and greatest from Audi is part number 4A0905849B.

Once you replace that..see what starts working..when the switch fails all kinds of problems start happening.

Look around for some FAQs on the switch replacement..it is not a difficult job..or get a Bentley.

The door lock vacuum motor is on the passenger side behind the speaker panel..it may be inside a Styrofoam box. But replace your ignition switch first.
