Centre silencer part number
Hi guys. Just trying to get hold of a centre silencer for my audi 80 2.6E The only ref I can find for it is this 8A0253409AE It is a single pipe type from the cat but the parts shops online don't recognise it. I've seen somewhere it says this part was superceded in 2011 but it doesn't say by which number. Anyone happen to know by any chance?
Cheers

that might be hard to find now, only from a vw/audi shop or aftermarket
i know on the b4q you can use exhaust from a B5q with a slight modification to the exhaust hangers, dont know about the other models

I believe the Quattro part number is 8A0253409R. FWD and Quattro are different
1995 Audi Audi 80/90 quattro United States market: Fuel, exhaust, cooling Centre silencer rear silencer ABK,NG,AAH, ACE,ABC,ABY ADW,ACZ
Unfortunately, Audi of America had these on clearance for a while recently and sold them all out.

Thanks for the info guys.
Hoping that my local garage will be able to weld it up. They think they can so hope that saves the enormous headache of trying to make a fit from a different cars silencer. I had to make timing belt covers from a similar Audi and that was a right headache but successful in the end. Its certainly a complex part that centre silencer. I have to get the front pipes welded up as well. The clamp at the Y joint is rusted off and breathing so going to try to sleeve it and make the two front pipes one rather than risk trying to separate the front pipes and replace them. If anything went wrong removing the front pipes from the exhaust manifolds that would be into major trouble... cheers
