little help with central locking
So today to take a step closer to the electrical drain I did a basic test with the central locking.
1. Disconnect battery after unlocking car. Test ohms drain on battery shows 0.03 ohms. Remove VOM from battery.
2. Lock drivers (RHD) door. Test drain again 0.03 ohms remove test equipment.
3. Lock trunk. Test again 0.03 ohms. Remove tester again.
4. Lock passenger door . Test again . 0.19 ohms.
So if the vacuum pump is operating normally as it seems to be (asssumption1)
as the sound of it is ok within a second locking and unlocking.
The vacuum lines are ok,. Maybe not on passenger door, but working well.
What else goes wrong with these door internals? I found after searching the cog wheel on the key lock fob can go. But mine seems fine.
Is it possibly the micro switches?
Another symptom possibly unrelated is that when the passenger door is locked and I attempt to open it with the internal handle, it does not quite make it to unlocked without helping the lock **** up.(with pliers)
One solution may be to use electrical actuator motor in the passenger door.It is too dark outside to do more testing. Will follow up..

I think I solved it
I removed the electrical plug to the vacuum bellows of the door to unlock and lock the door and hey presto no electrical drain.
The white unit, with plug on right of second picture above..
Yeh so unlocking the passenger door does not unlock the whole car but I am happy.
