Eleanor as she is now doesn't look like much and she is in a sorry state but the way I see it ive saved her from scrap the owner was going to scrap her as no one would buy them
hiya all its been awhile since I posted I some advice I bought Eleanor the audi 80 on a d reg 5 dr blue 1.8 b2 shape about a year ago and im stuck with what to do

jobs thats been done
both sills welded
full service
a frame repaired
news discs and pads

jobs need doing
needs respray here and there
boot floor needs repairs as small holes
bottom of windscreen needs repair
rear arches both sides need cut and replaced I have pannels
drivers door internal mechanism is missing
all chassis is to be removed sand blast and undersealed as I want to show her there is a few more thing but ill be on for ever

my only concern is the enginr has high mileage am pleased it has not been messed with as all my old audis sadly were im putting all this money in and am worryed the engine wont last its not been abused at all shes had one onwer from new I have all paperwork she got serviced every 8 thou my question is there any tests I can do to chrck the hwalth of the engine sorry for the S.A

I would do a compression test..see what you got there.


I think with your engine anything above 150psi is fine..
