Hey everyone. I was about to sell my 90 quattro S for something bigger for me and my pup and to help with camping/bike racing when I was driving - started to hear some clicking noise while turning, wheel started to shake. Did this for about a day. Then all of a sudden it just stopped. Wouldn't go while driving. Tried to move it but car wouldn't budge and I would hear grinding front left while giving it gas in gear. I didn't try any other gears or gas in neutral with clutch not pressed in.

Bad CV axle?
Clutch?

I'm about to jack her up and take a look see with my more mechanically inclined friend.

Even before all of this the front end wasn't the best. There were some minor clunking every now and then and some noises while turning left or right w out moving.

sounds more like striped splines... which would be weird as hell. your best bet is to get under the car and take a look

Yup, sounds like a bad cv axle. replace and you should be good to go

It was the CV. Replacement came today. Hoping to fix it tomorrow.
