Default Suspension? (80)

Just got the world's best deal on a running, driving, stopping (after brake pads) 1988 Audi 80. This means I'm allowed to spend more on it (invest...) and feel okay about it.
I would like to enhance the suspension, right now the car just flops around corners. I had a 1985 Jetta with Bilsteins on it and that alone made corners a blast, no idea how old the parts were but not a current model. The only coil springs I'm finding for the Audi 80 are the Vogtland drop coils. Only 1.57 each, doesn't seem absurd and I could pair them with the 'sport' version of the HD Bilsteins.
Anyone ever use these coils, and what's the thoughts on this suspension choice?

Prior to making a shock absorber selection..check your shock mounts and "A" arm bushings..almost certainly those are all in need of replacement.

Front shock mounts:

And those often worn out "A" arm bushings on the left with a new lower ball joint:

034 has some high density/track/street shock mounts. I use them and if you lube up the bearings in the 034 shock mounts..they seem to work well.

I used a Sach Advantage shocks and new dust/bumpers covers.

Try and find Lemforder control arm bushings..there is some junk parts our there. Follow the book on pre-loading the front suspension prior to tightening the "A" arm bolts.

Your car should run out well once the suspension has been checked and refreshed.

Yes, all these parts are in need of replacement on my ride. Pretty much everything rubber except the tires does... I am familiar with the pre-loading as well. Those are the parts I am going to gather ahead of time, while I collect more intel on my target shock/coil combo. Thanks for the brand advice.

UPDATE:
Vogtland coils have been cancelled; I already waited 3 weeks just for someone to tell me these are a 'made to order' item and it'll be another month. So, I ordered B&G Suspension S2 Sport Springs from a different source. If these are also made to order, I hope they don't also wait 3 weeks just to start making them.
I've been browsing 034. Definitely buying some of the parts for this project from there.
the current list is-
Tie rods (full bars)
Strut mounts
Control Arms w/bushings
Ball joints
End-link bushings
And of course the shocks/struts/coils.
If anyone recommends anything else be ordered for a full front-end refresh speak up. Can't think of anything else the rear would need...not much there.
