I repaired a convertible problem with forum member help, then left car sit for several months. Now the roof refuses to open, power windows will not open, and trunk lid also. Had to remove trunk latch through ski door to open trunk. Checked all of the wire connections that were previously repaired and everything is still intact.
I am thinking that these problems are all related to the Central Locking System.
Any ideas on best way to check or reset. I have the VCDS version of Vag-Com but it doesn't see or clear the error.

If the micro-switch in the truck servo-motor is not working correctly..the top will not open. The micro-switch tells the convertible top control unit the trunk is closed and the top will operate.

I would zero in on the truck lock servo motor as your trunk will not open normally. Will the central locking system work the doors and gas flap normally? If the door windows are lowered..will the key used in the driver's door close the windows when you lock the door and hold the key for a few seconds in the lock position?

Trunk will not open with key. With trunk lock exposed, the button plunger does not hit rod sufficiently to trigger the release. Not sure if lock mechanism is turning properly. Do you know if some type of electromagnet has to be activated or is micro switch just there to close loop for top activation.

Windows do not activate at all. If the center switch is used I can hear and feel the window solenoids work. VCDS program called out an error with window opening solenoid, but replacing the solenoid did not fix. Error moved to closing solenoid but I'm thinking this is wrong also.

Used driver door to open and close locks. Fuel door locks and opens, driver door also. It sounds like the pump behind rear trim is activating. Trunk latch plunger does not move in either direction. Looks to be a sealed unit. Is there any way to test?
