Thanks for the good info. Yes, already cleaning up the resistor panel connections. Can you tell me what relays I need in those missing positions? I'll need to buy them, and don't have the old ones for reference. Can't find any pictures of that particular box. I will need to have them before diagnosis can continue. Thanks for the help.

Just looked at my Cabriolet fuse box the get you some relay numbers..well....#2 and #11 replay positions are empty on my car too. My fans work fine..so the Bentley is not correct.

Let me dig around and get the info..in the meantime..check power at the resistor board with the thermoswitch jumped.

It seems the second speed fan relay is under the driver's side kick panel and it lives next to the third speed fan relay. Relay position #17

See the notes in the link:

Thanks. Can't open the Bentleys link. Maybe because I don't subscribe? No matter. Looks like that relay is a 213. We'll check it, and see if that is the point of failure, which would be good news. Get a new one and be off to the races! Then I'll tackle my drivers window, which has decided to stay down. Can hear the motor trying, but not moving it.

Default Bentley scan

Not long ago I discovered the relay was missing from my 2nd speed so it never kicked on when AC was on like it's designed to do.

I'm pretty sure the second and third stage fan relays on the cabriolet were moved from the fusebox that lives under the hood to the relay panel that lives under the driver's side lower kick panel. Why? Who knows. The Bentley says they are in the wrong place.

Try relays #17 and #18 under the driver's side kick panel.

Just got a replacement #17 (213) delivered today. Tomorrow, Soon as we get some of this Western New York snow taken care of, we'll give it a try. I'll let you know what happens.
