I don't think it is either.
If this is a 12v, it is on the drivers side in a much deeper recess. Buy the atttached 6 inch 8mm allen socket at NAPA for $15, part number NBH408M. It will save the headache of getting a shorter allen socket stuck in the hole and having your extension come off. Also, per the Bentleys manual "The G11 and G12 coolant additives are NOT interchangeable and must NEVER be mixed." They caution you to fully drain the system, refill with water, run, and drain again. You must also apply compressed air to the expansion tank to blow out all the G11 from the system. Low pressure works fine. Drain the radiator also. As an advisory, after you remove the block plug, you may have to push through debris that collects at the plug to get fluid to drain. I advise getting a new rubber o-ring for the plug as it will be in bad shape. About $3 at Audi or take your chances at a hardware store that you do or don't get a high temperature o-ring.

Old thread I just found when looking for the metric size of this plug.
Sadly NAPA apparently does not make this part anymore, I can't find it on their site.
Does not appear Craftsman makes long metric either.
Snap-on of course does and good used ones can be found for <$20 which is still expensive for one item you might use once every 5 years.
