Well I have been looking into my bad CC, it does nothing.

Yes It could be the stalk or other electrical gremlins, but If you have a similar car :

1994 Cabriolet V6

Check this for me and see if it is plugged or connected as mine is neither.

I am sure its a vacuum line.

Just remember All Northern Americans My vehicle is in Aussie land and I am sure the steering wheel is on the opposite side of mine so that this CC unit that sits behind the ABS unit may have swapped sides.??

HI. I have also problem with my CC. The engine is the same 2.8V6
Since I bought the car I have check engine light for EGR vale, because I have bad vacuum lines. But anyway the cruise control never worked.
First I though (like in BMW) the cruise stopps working right away after check light is on, but 2 weeks ago I removed the battery and when putted back, the check engine was off for a few days... I tried to CC without the light but still doesnt work. I will check if my is plugged in

Check the bladder that holds vacuum [#3]. I had a pinhole in mine long ago and replaced the bladder, all fixed.
Also check the vacuum line to the bladder as well.

BTW only one line comes from the pump, the white portion I would guess is intake with a diaphram.
