Default Front end intermittent grinding

I have been having a front end noise that matches speed. Replaced all suspension parts and put a new bearing on noisy side. Had alignments and new tires twice with no relief from noise. Now recently it has evolved. Every so often with increasing frequency now it will kick into a heavy grinding sound then kick back out. Just pulled hub and inspected bearing again and looks fine. At this point I am stumped and am hoping to not wait for some catastrophic failure to point to the offending part. Any ideas or help is much appreciated.

It's so fanny and you mentioned " Grinding noise" Mostly it's calling the braking system such a pad (steel parts) to rotor or both are contacting each other = loudly noise coming out and unable to drive usually.

Anybody know these kind of condition and easy to find out or see from out side with out remove the wheel most of time. Your case, front braking area are good of course, and

May be the backing plate are vibrating or other place such a drive axle ,inside of joints has the grease and dry out (I doubt these kind of condition). x19

Have you checked the CV joints on both sides? Look to see if the rubber boots have been ripped open, especially on the inside because I'm guessing you would have noticed the outside when you did the hubs. If it's CVs, usually the sound is worse under steering/cornering.

Yes, the complete drive shafts are new on both sides in the last few years. They both appear fine. Made sure to check those yesterday when I had the hub off. But come to think of it those were replaced by a shop when I was injured and unable to do my own work and later came to suspect the expertise of the shop after some a/c work was botched. Distinct possibility, but how to test short of replacement?

You don't think other side of axle bearing is making noise, Sound like this bearing makes noise when turning the corner etc.

Took a while to get the correct drive shaft. Finally ordered one from a place in california. Hard to find options that are not sub-par quality. Replaced complete drive shaft. It solved the noise - at least most. The part is from BuyAuto and the fit was not exact. Had to do a little grinding with a dremel tool around the hub where the outer CV joint mates to the hub. Just slightly too big. It seems it does not reduce fast enough. So beware if you order this part from them. Still not totally quiet, but not like turning gravel anymore either. Trying to get a 20yr old car to ride quietly has been a real challenge.
