long story short, the is a B4 out there that has H and R springs and my friend was gonna yank them, but someone took off one corner of the car, i was wondering if it was someone around here by any chance?

Look around in cars nearby. I have seen guys out in the pick and pulls who kinda do it for a living. They will take something off a newly arrived car quickly to spoil the set (usually wheels/tires) and hide it in another car. Then they try to find a buyer for the set and come back for it. I always check the nearest vans, or cars with closed trunks when I am suspicious - such as a Vanagon I was pulling parts for my Vanagon. Found some of the rare bits in a closed panel van nearby with a chunk of carpet pulled over them. I always wonder how often those guys never come back for them and rare stuff gets crushed in a worthless vehicle....
