So I replaced the master cylinder in my 1995 90 Q about a month ago. Must not have gotten the line back in the correct spot when I put it all back together though because last night while on the way home I felt a pop and the clutch pedal went straight to the floor. Got under it this afternoon and found that the flexible (eg not metal) part of the line that connects the master and slave cylinders had been rubbing on the axle and had eventually worn though, so now there's a hole. Does anyone know if it's possible to replace just this flexible part? If not, I guess the next option would be to replace the whole line right? Also, if anyone has part numbers (either for just the flexible piece or the whole line) that would be really helpful as I can't find anything online.

there are places that can build you a custom line, check with them first, as the dealership is expansive as hell

Call the dealer and ask, sometimes their prices are OK. Sunset Imports in Oregon usually has the cheapest prices since they only markup by 15% and they don't charge sales tax.

If not, then you can look for a local hydraulics shop and they can make you a new clutch hose using the ends off of your old one. This will probably cost about $50-80, it depends on the shop, materials cost, etc.

Hey guys, thought I'd post an update. I was able to fix the line for under $20. I went to the local napa after I pulled the line and found a flexible brake line about 12 inches long. I then cut out the old flexible line, flared the cut ends on the hard line, and put the new flex line in with connectors. its been over a week now and I havent noticed any leaks or problems.

One peculiar thing I did notice however is that the parking brake light now stays on even when the brake is not engaged. it will turn off intermittently (like when shifting, or going down steep hills) but is on for most of the time. I think it could be the sensor is just stuck or something. Anyone know where the sensor is located?

Dont know if this will help but I had a leak on my solid fuel pipe and to replace the pipe required major surgury but fortunatly a friend advised me that they are replacing sections of pipe on lorry brake pipes with standard pluming compression fittings. I cut out the damaged section and joined a small piece of pipe in with two compression joints and its worked a treat. Maybe you could do similar with a flex hose connector.
