Default New owner, '93 90 quattro few questions.

Just picked this car up a few days ago, trying to sort it out. Few things Id like to address...
The digital climate control buttons are unresponsive for the first ten minutes or so, then only a couple work at all. Could I swap that panel out for the dial type, from another lower model/year?
Car runs well, but under hard acceleration, the CEL lights up, but goes out as soon as you lift.
Also the v6 seems to have noisy lifters, but I've read some valve noise is normal?
Any guidance is much appreciated. I'm in sac area, any of these being parted around here?
Thanks!

yes you can, or you can just fix yours, or grab one from another car
check for vacuum leaks
change oil, run some seafom in the oil, you might want to replace the lifters.
im in reno and do have a friend in sacramento, we just did an auto to manual conversion on his cabriolet. i also have a vag-com and you can pull codes 12v Pages - Maintenance

I'll check those out, thanks!
Seafoam is in the car as we speak, just need to get some seat time.
Any info on which climate control panels will be compatible? I've noticed there really isn't much out there in the way of upgrades for this v6. Was looking for a catback system, or intake, etc.

You have to replace the air box under the dash too in order to switch to manual controls.
All of the B4 Cabriolets came with manual HVAC as well as the B4 90 "Sport" models.
