Hi all,
I have an a1 as hire car until end of the month
When I got the car it had a full tank (345 miles according to the trip display)
I filled up last week with £30 no problems (trip display was 230 miles and gauge was 3/4 full as I was on 60 miles when filled up
I filled up last night with 20 miles and light on, it now says 285 miles and gauge is on full but hasn't moved and I have driven 40 miles since and it normally moves at least half a notch. The trip is on 285 also
Is there an issue?

Just seems weird how a full tank drops from 345 miles to 285?

Well it depends a lot on how you use the car. The esteem it does is based on the average consumption you've had during the last trip registered on your dash. If it has the data of a motorway trip then it will show "this" left, if you've been driving around town it will give you another number. Should be nothing to worry about, but there might be someone that knows better than me

Well, it all depends on how you drive your car. Not all cars get the best economy at 55MPH, it depends on gear ratio, I have had cars that deliver better fuel economy at 70 MPH, Like a 1970 Plymouth Duster I had years ago.
