About the Chinese characters on the warning message - There's 8 plastic toggles on the back of the video module, they were all in the default position (all lined up) when I installed it, but I'm wondering if changing some of the switches would result in a different display (i.e. English/German etc, no display of the overhead parking sensor overlay, no dynamic lines etc.) I've written All-Lights about it and we'll see if they have any input.

I wrote them and they came through! Screen size is set using the 2nd switch, dynamic lines with number 6, and you can turn off the parking sensor display using the 7th switch. No response about the language characters so I think we're stuck with that.

Yes, it is rubbery and has the button inside to open the trunk lid just like the stock switch.

I just installed my kit. I bought it on ebay for $200. Works great! and i am super happy! everything was plug and play!
