Default Back to Audi!

After a long stint with BMW and a 2012 Regal GS thrown in, Im back. I took delivery of my S3 a little over three weeks ago and I can't say enough about it! Mine is Misano Red with red/black interior, prestige package and 18's with all-seasons. My plan is to run the 18's thru the Winter and then put some 20's on it in the Spring.

Pluses:
- size, interior and exterior
- power
- fit & finish
- DSG

Negatives:
- the flippin' brake dust, UGH!!!!

I keep hoping someone is going to offer up some brake pad choices in the near future. That will be a future thread!!

I have an S3 on order. It will also have 18" wheels with all season tires. How is the ride? What kind of gas mileage are you getting? Thanks.

Congratulations to you, great choice! The dealer says my S3 will ship from Emden sometime around November 7. I can't wait, awesome car . The car is currently listed at the dealer website so I can visit it on-line.

I know that many early S3's have the magnetic shocks and 19" wheels. I am going with the 18's for reasons of cost and snow. Quiet will be a bonus. I wonder how the ride will compare? Gas mileage?

I drove an S3 with the 19's and truly couldn't tell a big difference.
I'm so used to a stiffer suspension with all my previous cars and I like that so much, I haven't taken my car out of "dynamic" mode since the initial delivery intro.

As far as mileage is concerned, running a steady 75 MPH nets me around 28 - 30 MPG. Too tough to tell in city driving, since I can't keep my foot off the "go" pedal

The engine sound in dynamic mode must be addictive when "she opens up"! 28-30 mpg highway is decent and I wonder what you would get at 60 mph in comfort mode?
