I'm actually putting $4500 down. I talked to a buddy in finance at a BMW dealer and he said it seemed Ok. He said it's high because I'm paying full price for it and they aren't giving any breaks.

Is he paying (a lot) of interest? Not sure what tier B would be, but that seems like a place to start.

I was wondering about that too. I assume Tier B is for less credit worthy folks than would be Tier A - correct or no?
The problem is that if the OP spends $150/month more than he should for 36 months, that's $5.400 he could be saving or paying off other bills to get the credit rating higher. In effect, digging the hole deeper. Maybe living with a lesser car for a few years (an A4 which they are deeply discounting these days) and building up the rating would make sense. Image and being on top of the latest is important these days, but if he OP is young there will be plenty of time to build up to being able to the get the hottest car out there in a few years - an RS5 or whatever. My 72 year old take.

Oh My God! $799.00 for a lease payment for an A3 and putting down over $4k

You could finance the car with a 3.5% interest rate over 60 months for the same payment. That means in two more years you would own the car free and clear.

Your lease deal sounds terrible to me!

Just to clear it up its an s3 and they don't lease very well. I realize I'm gonna pay to have the new hot car. I'm not worried about the payment really and a loan from audi Financial will def help build my credit. If it were an a4 or a3 I know I could get it for a low monthly lease payment but it's a fully loaded 50k S car

Could the discrepancy be from the "rent charge"? My dealer sent me a email with the residual last week but I do not know what the rent charge is. In the contract from my current lease (2011 A4) its listed as being a little over $3,000.

7% sales tax, plus Acq fee of $800-$1000 plus DMV and first months payment is well over $5000. On a 36 month lease that is $138+ a month. So the payment actually is about right.

Paying 6.6% interest these days is absurd if you have decent credit. I just purchased a 2011 Porsche and received 1.99% Financing for 60 months.

You sure it wasn't Monsoon Gray? Daytona Gray isn't listed in any Audi ordering form (Webpage) for the U.S. If It were I would have got it.

Those cars aren't for sale. They crush them afterwards. I'm having second thoughts about Monsoon gray. All the while I'm looking at Daytona Gray thinking that's the color I'm getting.
