Hey everyone, I didn't get much (actually none) help over on AZ and was hoping AW would be of some help

What lease payments is everyone getting? I was quoted $637/mo for 36 months and 10k mi/yr to lease a...
- 2015 A3 2.0T Quattro Premium plus
- Monsoon Gray
- Sport Package
- MMI Nav
- Convenience Package

After everything was said and done it came out to $42k... $637/mo seems ridiculously high to me... The dealer also seems to be hellbent on getting MSRP... Please help

What are the lease terms? Money factor? Residuals? That number seems high.

I have the printoff at home, but I believe it's...

36 months
10k mi/yr
61% residual
.00152 MF
8.25% tax

Plug those numbers into a lease calculator. I don't have time now. And never pay MSRP. Walk out the door and go somewhere else. They need you more than you need them.

based on the data provided, I come up with $602.35/m with tax
make sure dealer is not rolling in any fees

negotiate better sales price. paying msrp is not the way to go
good luck

What have others been able to get off MSRP?

Forget msrp. Figure out the invoice price based on the model and options
Offer small % over invoice.

I bought a 2015 A3 Prestige with an MSRP of 43,400 and got $2,100 off list and also got more for my trade in than the NADA or Kelly Blue Book told me to expect. So obvously dealers are willing to discount, but on a lease they might not give as much. I could have leased but this seemed to be the better way to go. If you know you will want to drop the car after 3 years, then the lease could be a very good alternative, yet when a lease costs over $600.00 a month it seems like getting a discount on purchasing the car could be worth considering for the long run residual value. The amount you put down also figures into the equation. It is all about personal cash flow, savings, and what fits each buyer best.

Easiest way to get money off MSRP:
1. Join Audi Club of America.
2. Wait 6 months or get a lifetime membership for $700 to avoid waiting
3. Hand dealer paperwork from club and get 6% off MSRP plus whatever other promotion is running
4. Tell dealer wanting MSRP to go to (your choice of explicative).

On my special order A3, listing at $42k, I'm getting $3300 off MSRP.

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for your help, when speccing out these A3's, they seem to overlap quite easily with an S3 (which starts at a premium plus and includes sport package)... Almost makes sense to go S3 instead...
