I was wondering... in your earlier posts you mentioned Andros R9 wheels but looks like in the end you chose the Bremmer Kraft BR09...

What motivated your choice? looks, price or was there any fitement issue with the Andros R9? (... I am leaning towards the latter)

Mounted Rtx RS wheels, 18x8 45 offset with 225/40R18 Dunlop Wintermax tires, fit great lots of room over front Brake Calipers

ValBoo: looks actually was the reason for change. I like the R9 wheels but thought they were sort of similar to the 19 inch wheels that came with the S3. Not exactly of course but sort of 5 spoke. Playing with the wizard on Tire Rack, the BR09 appealed to me and pulled the trigger on the order. I think the R9s would fit exactly the same as the BK BR09. One thing I might add, the BR09s are bright silver and the brake dust shows very quickly. As the R9s are gray, it might not be as noticeable so soon. Hope that helps!

Had my Andros R9 wheels installed today (a3 with sport suspension) 17x7.5 45 Offset.I think it looks great, even with my narrow 215x50x17 winter tires, I don't regret skipping the 35 offset, I don't need road salt/slush spraying up the outside of my car. I actually like these wheels more than the optional 19s that came with the car. The 17s seem to fit the brakes better and doesn't make them look quite so puny.

Looks very nice - I just picked up these rims as well. Im getting them installed next Friday. What finish are those rims? I think I saw that the RTX comes in a few different shades - or I could be on crack.

Installed Andros R9 18X8 45mm from TireRack on the S3 tonight.
No problem with brake caliper clearance.
