Default S3 Drive Select without Magnetic Shocks

I ordered an S3 Premium Plus with 18" wheels (no magnetic shocks). I can't wait to drive it. Does anyone have an S3 without the magnetic shocks? Without the magnetic shocks I assume the drive select feature varies shift points and steering. Is this correct? Thanks.

FWIW - have the A3 with drive select (and of course no mag). So, yes, that is correct, mostly.

shift points are more D vs S. Accelerator responsiveness is more like it.

The drive select modifies steering, exhaust tone, and shift points from what I can tell. I have an s3 without magnetic ride as well.

How is the ride comfort without the magnetic shocks? I ordered 18" wheels with all season tires. Is that what your car has? Thanks.

I googled it and found this Glossary from Audi.

Audi - Glossary - Audi drive select

I test drove an A3 two days ago and played with the settings. I soley wanted to know if the 19" wheels would provide to harsh of a ride on our Michigan roads.

I really feel I felt the difference between Dynamic (stiffer suspension) and Comfort (softer suspension) during my test drive.

Either way, I felt the car was great with the 19" wheels and will order mine with them.

Spoke to the service guy and Audi actually has a winter wheel/tire setup they sell as an "accessory" for each model car. The A3's were about $1800 for wheels and all weather tires. The wheels looked nice too.

.
Do you mean A3 or S3? The A3 doesnt have the mag ride and therefore nothing changes in the suspension with drive select settings...

A3...

I don't think you need the magnetic shocks. I think the Drive Select works on the A3 by dampening the socks.

You don't need them but they are better. They offer more range.

I have the 18" wheels with summer performance tires. The ride is definitely stiff without the magnetic ride. You'll surely feel the road, no doubt, but it's also quite civilized. It's a blend of sport and comfort, but it leans more towards sport.
