Default IS IT TOO SOON TO START AN S3 BRAKE PAD THREAD?

As in a previous thread, these S3 pads are killing me!!! The dust is rediculous.

What company is going to come up with an option first?

Yea... know what you mean. Washed it yesterday and it took me forever to get my fingers through all the spokes of the front wheels. There must be an easier way

My previous car was 2006 Honda Civic Si. I made quite a few mods to it. One of the first was to get rid of the filthy stock pads Honda put on the calipers. Went with a Hawk ceramic pad. Virtually no dust and much better than stock performance. Not terribly expensive. Assuming Hawk is already working something for the S3 but haven't looked yet. I liked them before and would surely consider them again.

I agree. I have had hawk pads before on other cars and like their products very much.

I don't think it's too bad, maybe just because my Q7 is so much worse.

Get some of the dust repellant wheel spray, a few companies make it. I think I used the armor-all brand on my wife's Subaru which puts off brake dust like it has a bad case of dandruff. Put a few coats on it and it shouldn't stick as bad.

While on this topic, ECSTUNING has S3 OEM brake pads listed. I am surprised to see that there is a production change for rear brakes as of 11/4/2014. Wonder what the change is?

I called ECS and they do not offer any aftermarket brake pad options. Just wanted to verify that the one's you spoke of, were OEM parts, which they are.

Is it wrong of me to be concerned that the set for post-11/4 production is cheaper? I hope Audi isn't cutting more corners on this car!
