Anyone have any workaround to get waze to broadcast thru the MMI and still be able to listen to the Sat Radio etc?

Thinking I will have to load all my music on the phone when I want to avoid traffic cameras?

MAybe log onto the sirius via my phone? Can we do that with our audi accounts?

Unless I haven't heard, if you want Waze it will only be through your smartphone.

only had the car a day but I am pretty sure it was coming through....maybe I am nuts though...I will double check


EDIT: I am nuts...it will not come thru at all.

Only works when I am using the phone as a media player but that should be fine for me. I think I can get my Sirius subscription that came with the car on my phone and we are all good.

I really don't want to drive around DC without speed camera warnings.

Looks like he had a MMI connector that allowed a composite video connection? Which means Xbox etc... I'm kinda bummed, I had a DTV receiver that I gave away like a dummy. I had it hooked up in my last car on the stock stereo's 7" inch screen. The picture quality was surprisingly good, clear text and everything. Where I live I was able to get all the local channels and more. More of a novelty thing but it was kinda cool watching TV while parked. Looks like I might be giving the S3 the treatment, which I didn't expect.

If you are just trying to get Waze audio alerts, then you can just use the bluetooth audio wireless connection. Run Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, etc in the background for your music and run Waze in the foreground on the smartphone. The audio sent will contain both the Waze and the music playback.
