Can't speak to the A3, but FWIW take a peek at this thread: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q5-...antly-2864561/
Thanks for the heads up. I wish I had seen that sooner.

I took the A3 by the dealer today and the tech said it would be no problem to adjust them. The end result is that all of the jets are now pointed comically low on the windshield... so looks like I'm going to be doing it myself after all.

I really hope I'm wrong and it's different from A3 to S3 but I popped my hood the other day just see to see/hear the engine. I remember seeing a little sticker saying something to the effect that adding any additives (and it SPECIFICALLY mentions Rain X) will VOID THE WARRANTY.

Matter of fact, I just ran out and snapped this picture:

I don't remember if that was there on mine. Rain-x additives or rain-x brand windshield fluid?

I'm interpreting that as anything OTHER than OEM washer fluid.

After adjusting the nozzles I've been running standard fluid and I haven't had any problems come up. I don't have that sticker in my engine compartment.

I'll put whatever washing fluid I want in there. If the nozzles fail I'll make them fix it under warranty. I've never heard of a car maker that requires a certain kind of windshield washing fluid. Ridiculous. Sounds like they know they have a faulty system and are looking for a way to blame the customer

Is that sticker for real or someone's Photoshop humor for the day?

Some of the German mfrs will have a diagram in the workshop manual that shows where the windshield wiper streams are intended to intercept the windshield. I bet Spijun has seen it ...

They are "heated" nozzles which I have never had before but I have never seen such a notice either.
