Would you buy a "new" S3 with 800 miles on it?

With 800 miles on a hot car I would be concerned with more than the engine. If driven harshly by clients or employees the brakes could have undue wear, the rotors warped, a flat spot on a tire or two, or the tire tread edges having too much wear, not to mention hidden crap with the DSG which I still believe won't protect a drive train like the old slush boxes do/did. In short, I'd pass.

Thanks, all -- we passed and they found another Daytona for us. (Even the salesman said he wouldn't buy the 800 mile car.) We should be picking up our new, 100-mile car this weekend.

I may be late to this party, but I would have asked the dealer to discount and CPO the car. 100K warranty then. I once bought an A4 w/ 175 miles on the clock and received the 50K maintenance and the 100K CPO warranty.
