Hello all. I am thinking about getting a 2015-2016 A3 and was curious what the stock engine could handle in respect for reliable power output? I would love to get to around 400-450 at the wheels but I am assuming I will need to beef up the internals as well as replace the turbo with something larger?

Get an S3 and start there, you'll spend more trying to reliably get that high on pump gas with an A3. I'm (not for certain) hovering around 300hp with bolt ons, but wouldn't really want to risk going too much higher.

Could just save your money and get a Focus RS or even the newer civic type r, which would prob be a better tuners car for the money. Focus starts around 36K (a base quattro A3) or the civic estimated to be around the same price.
