2016 S3 with CEL after 3625KMs!!!!!
Well I'm fearful it is happening again!!! My first cold morning start and my 2016 S3 throws a check engine light and it is staying on. Memories of my 2013 S4 that had a CEL the first two months, replace engine sensor and developed a broken fuel gauge that after 4 attempts the dealer (Downtown Audi Toronto) could never fix!!! Now it begins with the S3 after 3625KM!!!!
Unbelievable....Audi is rapidly forming a close connection to Alfa in my mind!!
My previous car (BMW) was flawless from day one. Disappointing.

I just got a check engine light after about 5800 miles (the yellow one dealing with emissions). My service adviser knew immediately what it was, as there have been some faulty sensors/leaks with the A3/S3 line. They replaced the part in a day and all is well, though he was worried it wouldn't be in stock since they're failing left and right.

Sounds like you have some bad luck with the brand, I agree with getting a VDCS cable, it will really help you get the info you need.
If it's something major, you are really in the minority, particularly with the 2.0 block, super solid motor and most every bug has been worked out.
