2017 A3 -- FWD vs Quattro
Hello. I'm struggling attempting to decide between FWD and Quattro AWD in a premium plus model. I live in Southern California, so snow isn't an issue. While the Quattro gets 2 mpg less overall than the FWD, it has a slightly larger fuel tank which balances out the total miles I'd be able to drive before refueling.
Other than a bit faster 0-60 speed, are there any other reasons I should consider the Quattro over FWD? Most of my driving will be stop and go in the city.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I don't own a Quattro but ill tell you this, it's fun to drive. I go snowboarding at Mt high, Big bear and Mammoth often. So, If I didn't get such a great deal on my E-tron. I would've sprung for a Quattro A4.
For commuting, fwd is pretty good better than my Passat and pretty agile and peppy so it's not that terrible different.
If money or savings isn't a huge concern, I say just get a Quattro, the dollar figures are so minor that it doesn't really matter in the long run.

Get the quattro, its just, more confident with all the wheels putting power down. I too was looking at the fwd option, but glad I went with the quattro. If you track the car, you'll be glad you have quattro.

Audi = Quattro. An Audi without Quattro is like a ham and cheese sandwich without the ham. It's still a sandwich but woefully incomplete and less sastifying.

The Audi A3 diesels here were FWD only too.
Honestly, OP, if you aren't ever going to encounter snow, then don't waste your money.
Just get a good decent pair of All-Season Tires for those rainy days.
I'm on my winter Hakkapeliitta R2s right now and today temp is high as 50 degrees F, but it's pouring down rain hard. The beauty of winter tires is that besides snow, they also make excellent rain tires.
