Here it is. The 1.8 is being replaced by a 2.0, new colors, available virtual cockpit, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Pre Sense City, and a few other things along with the design.

The S3 is not getting a power increase.

So, now that we know that the 2017 models are coming standard with Android Auto/ CarPlay and the 7in screen, how impossible would it be to retrofit one of those into a 2016?

Apparently Android Auto and CarPlay are not standard on the A3 Premium trim according to this guide. A3 Premium Plus and above, and S3 have Android Auto / CarPlay included.
