I placed a deposit in the US, no firm delivery date as of yet. Just that first deliveries will likely be in August. I'm on the fence a bit, concerned about steering feel, and the fact that there is no manual option. But, that 5 cylinder motor is glorious...

I read somewhere that the TTRS, it had a lot more turbo delay than advertised... That nothing was happening before 2750rpm which is back when I had an STi in 2009 stage 2, was slow in traffic at 20mph than it was unleashing hell at 3000rpm... I really don't want to be in "Camry land" on low RPM :| Second thing that some 40th anniversary lucky owner of TTRS said the downshift from 5 to 3 was really really slow and that Audi was aware of the problem and they would release a firmware update...

I'm really looking forward some 50-70mph flooring it and a few of those independant tests!

looking at maybe an August delivery, but no build-date released on my order yet.
I inquired with the dealership today and he told me i can put a deposit on an order for $2k and maybe September delivery. He showed me a spread sheet of buyers on the list and looks like i'd be like number 10 or so...

just wondering if you were able to negotiate any extras or price down on the vehicle at all? My wife gave me the preliminary "OK" to put the deposit down, but im just wondering if i should try to negotiate something first. We went there today to test drive an e-tron as my wife is likely gonna get an A3 etron for commuting to replace her TDI.

I wasn't able to negotiate anything, and just pleased there's no additional markup.

Do you mind letting me know what dealership you are dealing with (can PM me if you want). This will be my 3rd audi from this specific dealership (4th overall) .. not sure if those kind of things factor in terms of 'loyalty', also highly likely my wife will be getting an A3 etron when she figures out what vw is doing about the TDI scandal (hopefully soon).. hoping i can get some leverage.

Anybody know, I took the 49u wheels which are not the same front/rear... What size of rotors are on the RS3? Same as the S3? For winter tires, what will be the "lowest" rim size possible to fit? 17? 18?

I read in an German article that the front brakes are 370mm and the rears are 310mm.

Hope this helps!

Wow, could it be that a base price of $62k (after US dollar conversion - presently $47k) would be the same in the US? Dang 10k more would be really doable.

I'm at OpenRoad on Boundary and Lougheed, and they treat me well. I'd originally tried to purchase my S3 through another dealership and failed to even work out the test drive details for an A3.

+1. Shout out to Open Road Audi at Boundary and Lougheed. Very nice and professional company to deal with. I highly recommend them especially after going through hell with the dealership where I purchased my S5.
