A3 2.0T owners, what sort of mileage do you get?

I just keep the display to "efficiency program" and play the numbers game, never accelerate hard, try to never brake and just try to keep everything smooth. I average about 7.6 L/100km which works out to about 31 MPG with mostly highway driving.

That has been my experience as well. The best I have received was 34 mpg during a long trip. I also use premium, top tier gas (Costco).

I just got my 2016 yesterday afternoon and drove back from Maryland through DC rush hour traffic (stop and go) and most of the rest of the trip was interstate. My average MPG for the trip was 29.3, which I think is pretty darn good for those conditions.
What octane gas are you filling up with and where are you getting it? In the two A6s I had, I noticed a drop off in HP and mileage if I used "crap" gas.....

Here in California premium is 91 octane, that's the maximum the gas stations have. I used Chevron on my previous car the last few years I owned it which also needed premium gas, and didn't have any mileage dropoff using Chevron vs. other brands previously with that car. But I'm going to try Shell or Union 76 on my next fill up just to see if it makes any difference.

Yup, believe it. Here, almost every single gas station's premium fuel is 91, Shell included (all the BP's out here are branded as Shell). I can't remember the last time I saw anything higher than that, though if I drove far out of my way I could probably find 92 or 93. Not an expert but basically from what I know of it, the refineries cannot produce enough 92 or 93 to meet demand - more cars out here that need premium fuel vs. some other parts of the country, plus they are required to add ethanol which doesn't help boost octane like some other additives they were allowed to use in the past. So they use 91 which they can produce enough of.

I'm getting 13-14
So, just to create a bottom anchor, the short term trip computer (#1) is showing me as having a 13.2 mpg average. My commute is 3 miles, all in city, all almost all downhill.

But I can concur that finding 93 in CA is very rare. I know of a few places that carry it, but its not worth going out of the way to get it...
