A3 Air Conditioning

I called this morning for an update on the bolt they broke, guy says there seems to be another problem and my usual service advisor would call me back. Well I got tired of waiting since it had been close to 5 hours since then and she says they now have had to order an evaporator and it "should" be in on Monday. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. You'd think the dealership would communicate with Audi on what all was needed as this AC issue seems to be pretty widespread now. Going out of town on July 5th and won't be back until the 14th or 15th. If I don't get it back next week it will be easily over a month since they've had it. Maybe its time for lemon law.

The evaporator is on back order now so who knows when it will be in. I've gotta goto the same city my dealership is in for unrelated business and I'm gonna go by there in person and see what kind of compensation they are willing to offer and talk about lemon law.

Well. Today marks 36 days that my car has been at my dealership. I've been in contact with Audi USA through email and they told me this past Tuesday the car should be ready. I haven't received any calls or anything from my dealership. I did ask for compensation and the agent I'm dealing with said they couldn't guarantee anything. I asked for next months lease payment to be paid by them and for a clear bra to be installed. The bra would benefit both of us in the end. This is getting ridiculous.

I found out today that my 4.5 month old 2015 A3 has a bad AC compressor. Several other cars sold by my dealer also have this problem. The Service Manager told me that Audi is aware of the problem and is redesigning the compressor. It worked the first time I used it last week, then never worked after that.

you DON'T need to wait for a recall to get your a/c fixed. If your car is still under factory warranty, it's their responsibility to fix the problem free of charge !!! The compressor redesign, if there was one, would have already have been done by this time. Give the dealer a call and make an appointment to get it repaired !!!
Good Luck.
